Outreach is key to successful church growth! The first and best form of Outreach is personal relationships. God has divinely put us in the family, neighborhood, job & town for a higher purpose than just to get by and make a little money. If we live in the fullness of the Spirit then we are able to understand the concept of blessings and not luck.
Some people pray God give me the opportunity to witness. Others pray that God will never ask them to witness, because they are terrified of doing so. If the latter describes you, know that you have the most important message to tell that the world has ever known. The fear of witnessing comes from two sources, Satan, our enemy & the fear of rejection. As we realize that, when we are faithful in the goal that Christ put before us (Matthew 28:18-20) we will see that the fear of witnessing is a misplaced fear. We need to understand that when they reject the message of Christ, they are not rejecting us.
It is everyone's job to share Christ and the love He has for everyone. It is not just the pastor's job. Can a shepherd make sheep reproduce? No!! He can however give them a safe place to grow and healthy food to nourish them into what they are to become, so when they are mature they will reproduce themselves naturally.
If a church is not focused on a dying world, it will eventually die itself. Our main focus will always be firmly based on Outreach and Evangelism!
